Brittany Chrisman

Hello My Name Is...

Brittany Chrisman

I will be teaching 6th grade World Cultures, 8th grade U.S. History, and middle school GT.
I am the lead teacher for social studies.

"We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths." - Walt Disney

I am thrilled that my new path has led me to New Diana Middle School! This year my students and I will embark on exciting studies in 6th grade World Cultures and 8th grade U.S. History. I will also have the privilege of working with the middle school gifted and talented (GT) students. Prior to becoming an Eagle, I was the Speech and Debate teacher at Marble Falls High School in Marble Falls, TX. I also have experience working as Academic Advisor and Student Development Coordinator for Texas State University's McCoy College of Business Administration Academic Advising Center. I have a Bachelor of Science in History for Secondary Education and a Master of Education in Secondary Education Methodology with an emphasis on Gifted and Talented from Eastern New Mexico University.
I am married to my high school sweetheart, New Diana High School Government/Economics/World Geography teacher and football/power-lifting coach Travis Chrisman. We have a beautiful red-headed baby girl named Ella, a horse named Mia and a dog named Penny. Some of my favorite things to do include horseback riding, snow skiing, wake boarding, reading, and watching The Walking Dead on TV. I am looking forward to an awesome year at NDMS!
