Hello My Name Is...
Brittany Chrisman
I teach 6th grade World Cultures, 8th grade U.S. History, and the NDMS GT program.
I am also the lead teacher for the NDMS social studies department.
This year my students and I will embark on exciting studies in 6th grade World Cultures and 8th grade U.S. History. I will also have the privilege of working with the middle school gifted and talented (GT) students. Prior to becoming an Eagle in 2016, I was the Speech and Debate teacher at Marble Falls High School in Marble Falls, TX. I also have experience working as Academic Advisor and Student Development Coordinator for Texas State University's McCoy College of Business Administration Academic Advising Center. I have a Bachelor of Science in History for Secondary Education and a Master of Education in Secondary Education Methodology with an emphasis on Gifted and Talented from Eastern New Mexico University.
I am married to my high school sweetheart, New Diana High School Government/Economics/World Geography teacher and football/power-lifting coach Travis Chrisman. We have two daughters: a fiery red-headed toddler named Ella and an adorable infant named Ivy. We also have a horse named Mia and a dog named Penny. Some of my favorite things to do include horseback riding, snow skiing, wake boarding, reading, and traveling with my family. I am looking forward to another awesome year at NDMS!
